Assistant Accountant - Automotive

Central Coast Automotive is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join our administration and finance team in Gosford.

This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who already has some real-world experience through work, an internship, traineeship, or similar role. You will bring strong accounting fundamentals, practical capability, and a willingness to learn, and be ready to apply that in a busy commercial environment.

You may be a recent university or TAFE graduate, or still completing your studies. What matters most is that you understand the basics, have some hands-on experience, and want to build your career in a growing business.

What you'll be doing

Working with our administration and finance team, you will assist with the day-to-day financial operations of a busy automotive business, including:

- General ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing reports for management
- Accounts and general financial administration
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Working across multiple accounting and dealership systems
- Supporting the broader finance and administration team
- Using Excel, AI, and modern technology to improve reporting and processes

Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in candidates who have recently completed, or are currently studying:
- Bachelor of Accounting
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Or another relevant accounting or finance qualification

Qualifications matter,



but we're equally interested in what you can actually do. You'll need to demonstrate a sound practical understanding of accounting fundamentals as part of our recruitment process.
