This position suits an Assistant Building Surveyor with at least two years of experience assessing residential approvals who is ready to take greater ownership of projects.

Duties

- Assess residential building permit applications and supporting documentation

- Review plans against the NCC, Building Act and Victorian Building Regulations

- Identify outstanding information and prepare requests for further information

- Liaise with builders, architects, designers, owners and other consultants

- Prepare permit documentation and assist with issuing approvals

- Coordinate amendments, mandatory inspections and final documentation

- Maintain accurate records and keep applications progressing efficiently





- Provide practical and solution-focused compliance advice

About You

- Minimum two years of experience in residential building approvals

- Building surveying qualification completed or currently underway

- Strong understanding of Class 1 and 10 buildings

- Knowledge of the NCC and Victorian building legislation

- Experience reviewing architectural, structural and supporting documentation

- Confident communicating with builders, designers and property owners

- Organised, accurate and capable of managing multiple applications

- Australian working rights
