About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Director, Educational Leader and Educators to join our team on a full-time basis at our Renwick, NSW facility. This is a pivotal role within our childcare and outside school hours care service, where you will contribute to the strategic direction and day-to-day excellence of our programmes. As part of your responsibilities, you will work collaboratively with our leadership team to implement quality educational practices, lead by example in creating positive learning environments, and support the holistic development of the children in our care.

This position plays an integral role in maintaining our commitment to providing exceptional childcare and education services.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting the director in the implementation of educational policies, procedures and quality improvement strategies
- Planning, developing and delivering high-quality educational programmes that align with current curriculum frameworks and best practice standards
- Creating safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environments that promote children's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development
- Monitoring and assessing children's development, documenting progress and communicating observations with families and team members




- Providing educational leadership and mentoring to educators within the service, fostering a culture of continuous professional learning
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with children, families and the wider community
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative requirements, including duty of care, child protection and workplace health and safety standards
- Contributing to staff recruitment, induction and performance management processes as directed
- Participating in team meetings, professional development activities and service improvement initiatives
- Supporting the administration of the service, including record-keeping, parent communication and daily operational matters

What we're looking for

- Current formal qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Diploma or Degree level) or equivalent recognised qualification in childcare and education
- Current Working With Children Check (WWC) clearance or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
- Knowledge and experience with current early childhood curriculum frameworks such as the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Demonstrated experience working with children in a childcare, preschool or educational setting, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding,



duty of care and compliance requirements within the childcare sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, colleagues and external stakeholders
- Leadership capability with the ability to mentor and support other educators whilst maintaining a collaborative team environment
- Organised and proactive approach to planning, time management and problem-solving
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, energetic childcare environment
