Details: The City and Environment Directorate (CED) is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our Workplace Resolution and Support team as an Assistant Director.

This role provides a unique opportunity to influence workplace culture by delivering specialist advice and case management support across workplace resolution, conflict management, injury management and employee wellbeing matters. Working closely with leaders and employees across the Directorate, you will help achieve practical, fair and timely outcomes while supporting a safe, respectful and high-performing workplace.

About the role

As the Assistant Director, Workplace Resolution and Support, you will:

- Manage a diverse caseload of workplace resolution and injury management matters, including sensitive and complex cases.
- Provide trusted advice to managers and employees on workplace behaviour, conflict resolution and injury management matters.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of workplace resolution frameworks, including early intervention strategies
- Assist in coordinating return-to-work and injury management programs in accordance with legislative and policy requirements.




- Develop productive relationships with stakeholders to support positive workplace outcomes.
- Contribute to reporting, briefings, strategic advice and wellbeing initiatives across the Directorate.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Knowledge of, or experience working within in workplace resolution, injury management frameworks within the public sector or another complex organisational workplace will be highly regarded. Notes: A Merit Pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.

This position works in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
