- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $97,256.00 to $108,166.00 + super

Our Water for the Environment, Outreach and Partnerships team is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Environ Water Project Officer to undertake project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the delivery of environmental water projects and programs.

A key focus of this role is to provide secretariat, coordination and stakeholder support for environmental water advisory groups to ensure effective governance, informed decision making and the successful delivery of environmental water outcomes. Some travel is required in this role.

About You

- You have an interest in supporting advisory groups, committees or stakeholder engagement processes. You are organised and detail-focused, with the ability to coordinate meetings, manage documentation and support good governance practices.
- You are confident working with a range of stakeholders and can communicate clearly and professionally. You build positive working relationships and help support inclusive and productive discussions.
- You can work independently within established procedures and are comfortable managing competing priorities. You demonstrate sound judgement, maintain accurate records,



and contribute to the delivery of agreed outcomes.

Key knowledge and experience

- Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear written material and communicate complex information in plain English.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders and advisory group members to achieve shared outcomes.
- Sound project management skills, including planning, coordination, monitoring progress and managing competing priorities.
- A commitment to delivering quality outcomes within agreed timeframes and standards.
- Confidence using technology and information management systems to support project delivery and governance requirements.
- Professionalism, integrity and a customer-focused approach.

Essential requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering or related fields
- A valid Australian Drivers License as the role requires travel.
