We’re Hiring | Assistant Manager – Freight Procurement

AGC Global is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Assistant Manager – Freight Procurement to join our team.

This is a key role within our commercial operations, responsible for securing competitive and sustainable freight solutions for our customers across global trade lanes.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and negotiate competitive Sea & Air Freight rates for imports, exports and cross-trade shipments
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines, NVOCCs, consolidators and overseas agents
- Manage daily RFQs and provide timely, commercially viable freight solutions
- Negotiate spot rates, contract rates and project-specific freight solutions
- Continuously monitor freight markets, capacity, surcharges and market movements
- Compare and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure the best combination of price, service and reliability
- Build and maintain a reliable database of freight rates and trade lane benchmarks
- Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to develop competitive customer quotations
- Identify alternative carriers, routings and consolidation options where required
- Support the development of strategic carrier and supplier partnerships




- Ensure procurement decisions support both customer competitiveness and AGC's profitability

What We're Looking For

- Experience in freight forwarding / shipping / logistics procurement
- Strong knowledge of international Sea & Air Freight markets
- Proven ability to negotiate freight rates and commercial terms
- Good understanding of FCL, LCL, air freight and cross-trade movements
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple RFQs with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong relationships with shipping lines, airlines and freight service providers will be an advantage
- Good Excel and data analysis skills
- A proactive approach with a solid focus on achieving the best commercial outcomes
