What's on Offer?

- $90.00 per hour casual rate during your initial 13-week placement
- Genuine temp-to-permanent opportunity
- FIFO roster:
- 8 days on / 6 days off
- 7 days on / 7 days off

Permanent Package After 13 Weeks Following successful completion of your initial placement through Mills Recruitment, you'll transition directly to our client and receive:
- $170,000-$180,000 annual salary package
- $10,000 sign-on bonus
- $5,000 after 6 months
- Additional $5,000 after 12 months
- Annual performance bonus opportunities
- Career progression opportunities within the operation

The Role Working within the Mobile Maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a large fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment.

Duties will include

- Electrical diagnostics and fault finding
- Breakdown repairs and troubleshooting
- Planned and preventative maintenance
- Low-voltage electrical repairs
- Air-conditioning diagnostics and repairs
- Maintaining equipment reliability and availability
- Working safely within a busy mining maintenance environment




- Collaborating with supervisors and fellow tradespeople

What You'll Need We're looking for Auto Electricians who enjoy diagnostics and problem solving, not just routine servicing. Ideally, you'll have:

- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
- Experience working on heavy equipment, earthmoving machinery, mining equipment, transport fleets, forestry equipment or similar
- Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence (Manual)
- Solid commitment to safety and teamwork

No Cert II Air Conditioning? That's okay! Candidates who don't currently hold their Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning are still encouraged to apply, provided they are willing to obtain the qualification after arriving in Australia.
