Auto Electrician | Custom Truck Bodies & Vehicle Fit-Outs

MiniBody Engineering designs and manufactures custom truck bodies and specialised vehicle solutionsfrom our Brisbane workshop. We are looking for a Full-Time Auto Electrician to join our team.

This is not repetitive servicing or accessory fitting. You will be part of the team building new custom trucks and vehicle bodies from the ground up, with the electrical work you complete becoming an integral part of the finished vehicle.

Every build is different, giving you the opportunity to work on a variety of custom trucks and specialised vehicle projects.

The Role:

You will work across a range of custom truck builds including:

- New Custom truck bodies and service bodies
- Tray trucks and specialised vehicle fit-outs
- Truck-mounted equipment and accessories
- One-off and purpose-built vehicle solutions

Your work will include:

- Installing and routing vehicle wiring
- 12V/24V electrical fit-outs
- Installing vehicle lighting, work lights and warning lights
- Wiring switches, controls and electrical components
- Installing electrical components within custom truck bodies
- Wiring equipment and accessories fitted to the truck body
- Assisting with electrical modifications and vehicle fit-outs
- Working closely with our fabrication and assembly teams
- Ensuring all electrical work is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard

Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a qualified Auto Electrician who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to be involved in building custom vehicles rather than working on the same jobs every day. You will only ever work on NEW truck builds.

You will need to be:

- Qualified as an Auto Electrician




- Confident working with automotive 12V/24V electrical systems
- Experienced with vehicle wiring and electrical fit-outs
- Practical and solutions-focused
- Reliable and able to work to production timeframes
- Comfortable working as part of a larger build team
- Particular about the quality and presentation of your work
- Able to work independently and take ownership of your work

Highly Regarded Experience in any of the following will be well regarded:

- Truck electrical systems
- Custom truck or heavy vehicle fit-outs
- 12V and 24V systems
- Truck body manufacturing
- Installation of work lights and warning lights
- Electrical fit-outs of service bodies and specialised vehicles
- Wiring pumps, controls or vehicle-mounted equipment
- Experience with custom or one-off vehicle builds
