About the role

Lead, motivate and train the Service & Parts Department to provide the best possible service to customers while maintaining an efficient and profitable operation.

Key responsibilities

- Implement strategies to increase the sale of genuine parts to increase the company's market share
- Implement concrete measures to promote sales and monitor performance (cost/benefit analysis)
- Promote specific service, parts and accessories offers
- Plan and implement part sales promotion activities in conjunction with the marketing department
- Review and monitor part sales revenue in line with targets/budgets
- Review and monitor gross profit required to meet targets and budgeted departmental costs
- Follow up all outstanding debtors on a regular routine basis to ensure debts are paid
- Handle all front counter sales & quotations,



back counter / workshop sales & quotations, and phone sales & quotations
- Check, inspect and authorise the quality of all operations within the Mechanical Service Department
- Ensure national average or better results for customer satisfaction survey results for service operations
- Determine personnel requirements for the Service Department and conduct formal appraisals on a regular basis
- Establish and maintain practices designed to train develop and motivate department employees.

About you

- Minimum 5 years experience as a manager in automotive service industry
- Current Victorian drivers license (manual and automatic)
- The ability to continuously learn about recent approaches to leadership/management, vehicle servicing, information regarding products, administrative efficiencies and customer requirements
- The ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
