CIT is seeking an experienced, highly organised, motivated, and energetic person to join our Collision Repair team to inspire and teach the next generation as a Body Repair Technology educator based at CIT Fyshwick.

WHAT WILL YOU DO As an educator, you'll work closely with a team of dedicated teaching and support staff to deliver high-quality training outcomes for apprentices in a VET (Vocational Education and Training) environment. Your role will include:

- Delivering engaging and compliant training aligned with industry standards
- Liaising with industry partners, students, and stakeholders
- Supporting the development and management of educational resources

WHAT DO I NEED

Applicants do not have to possess direct teaching experience, as we can train you on how to become a great VET Teacher. We place more value on people with the relevant qualifications, industry experience and right attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory Qualifications

Refer to the ACTPS CIT Educators EA 2023-2026, sub-Clause M10.4.

All employees engaged at the Educator Level 1 classification must:

- hold a Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent); or




- where the full qualification is not held, hold as a minimum prior to employment as an employee in any form, qualifications as required by the Standards for RTOs; and
- complete the full qualification within 12 months of engagement and be supervised by a suitably qualified person.

Clause M10.8 states that all employees at Educator Level 1.3 (TL1.7) to the Head of Department Level must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent) and a Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or equivalent).

Registration/licensing

- All CIT and ACTPS employees are required to complete a criminal history record check form prior to employment.
- Certificate III in the following but not limited to:
- Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology AUR32120 or equivalent
- This position does not require a pre-employment medical

Industry Experience In accordance with sub-Clause M10.10 of the ACTPS CIT Educators EA 2023 - 2026.

- All employees at Educator Level 1 or Level 2 are required to have relevant industry experience and vocational qualifications equal to that being taught, or as specified in the applicable training package or accredited curriculum specifications.

DESIRABLE

- Knowledge of the Australian Apprenticeship System
- Any OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Training
- High Level Computer Literacy

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months with the possibility of an extension and/or permanency. Temporary employment offered as a result of this advertisement may lead to permanency/promotion as per the Public Sector Management Standards, Section 14 - Direct appointment of employee - general, and Section 20 - Direct promotion - general and CIT Enterprise Agreements.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
