About The Role As an Automotive Mechanic, you'll use your technical expertise to carry out repairs, preventive maintenance and diagnostics on a wide range of specialised GSE equipment. You'll work closely with a skilled workshop team to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations that keep the airport moving.

The annual salary range for this role is $85,000–$95,000 p.a. + Super, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment
- Report daily to the Shift Supervisor, ultimately under the management of the State Service Manager
- Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting as well as repair, and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard
- Promote a safety-first approach
- Collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions




- Work with multiple unique GSE specialised equipment

Essential Requirements

- Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification
- Have your own tools
- Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded
- Hold a current and valid Driver's License
- A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures
- Experience working within procedural guidelines
- Good communication skills and proactiveness
- A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a positive team player
