**- Realistic workloads with the time to do the job properly
- Top hourly rates for experienced Panel Beaters
- Family-owned business with a supportive team culture**
Looking for a workshop where quality comes first? Fairway Panel & Paint is a long-established, family-owned automotive repair business that has proudly serviced Fremantle and surrounding suburbs for over 50 years. We specialise in quality smash repairs, refinishing and waterborne paint systems, and we're looking for an experienced Automotive Panel Beater to join our close-knit team.
This is not a production-line environment. We don't believe in rushing jobs out the door. Instead, we take pride in delivering exceptional finishes and giving our team the time, equipment and support to do the job properly.
Why join Fairway Panel & Paint?:
- Attractive hourly rates aligned with experience ($50-$55ph + super)
- Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
- No weekends or overtime
- Mix of insurance and private repair work
- Clean, organised workshop with consistent workflow
- Supportive, family-owned business with an excellent local reputation
About the role You will be responsible for completing high-quality collision and body repairs across a variety of vehicles including:
- Insurance, fleet and private vehicle repairs
- Repairing, replacing, straightening, fitting and accurately aligning damaged panels
- Carrying out welding, pulling/straightening and structural repairs
- Stripping and re-fitting vehicle components
- Preparing repaired vehicles for paint handover
- Managing your own jobs efficiently and maintaining a clean, organised work area
- Working closely with our estimator/manager and paint team
- Quality-checking your own work and taking pride in the finished result
About you We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and understands the importance of getting the repair right the first time. You should be an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in producing quality workmanship rather than simply working through jobs as quickly as possible.
You'll ideally have
- Trade qualifications as a Panel Beater / Automotive Body Repair Technician
- Strong recent collision-repair experience
- Experience with panel replacement, alignment, dent repair, welding and structural repairs
- The ability to work independently with solid attention to detail
- Good time management and a reliable, consistent approach to work
- A current driver's licence
- Insurance repair experience is preferred, but not essential
You'll have your own dedicated work area, a steady flow of work and the support of experienced management, while still having the independence to manage your own jobs. Specific workshop system experience isn't essential - practical panel-beating ability, workmanship and attitude are what matter most. If you're an experienced Panel Beater looking for a quality workshop, stable hours and a long-term opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.
