An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Banking Manager / Team Leader to join a high-performing Finance function and lead a critical banking and reconciliation team.

The Position Reporting to the Head of Treasury, Banking & Payables, this leadership role is responsible for managing a team of five, including offshore team members, whilst overseeing the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of banking and balance sheet reconciliation activities.

This position offers a combination of people leadership, financial control, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a complex and dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor and develop a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations relating to banking, cash and payment-related accounts.
- Ensure reconciliation items are investigated, escalated and resolved within agreed timeframes.
- Manage high-volume transaction reconciliations across multiple payment channels.




- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between sales, settlement and banking data.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to improve controls, processes and operational efficiencies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities and process enhancements.
- Support month-end, audit and compliance requirements through strong financial control practices.
- Maintain and enhance reconciliation procedures, controls and documentation.

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced finance professional with a strong background in banking operations, financial control, treasury or reconciliations within a complex, high-volume environment.

You will also demonstrate

- Proven experience leading or supervising teams.
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation expertise.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build credibility across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong Excel capability and experience working with large datasets.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
