Battery Trader
Trade a growing battery and wind portfolio in the NEM, backed by long-term institutional capital.
About GreenPoint Energy
GreenPoint Energy is an Australian renewable energy and battery storage platform backed by long-term institutional capital. We are building a 2.5GW portfolio of battery energy storage (BESS) and wind assets connected to the National Electricity Market, with more than AUD 6.1 billion of equity raised and managed across the region.
The Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub, a 600MW/1,600MWh battery delivered with SEC Victoria, reached full commercial operation in December 2025. We are now building the Calala BESS in Current South Wales and the Koolunga BESS in South Australia, alongside wind projects at Bell Bay in Tasmania and Jackson North in Queensland.
The team is small and people here own their work rather than a slice of it.
Why GreenPoint Energy
- GPE is building a portfolio of scale with the view to have long term ownership of assets.
- 600MW of operational BESS capacity, with another 250MW targeting operations in mid-2027.
- A further 1.7GW of BESS and Wind capacity in near term assets reaching FID in the next 2-3 years.
- A flat structure with all team members given the opportunity to take full ownership over their workstreams.
- We are growing across every NEM-connected state, so there is room to move as the business scales.
- GPE takes the discipline of major global investors into a fast-growing business. As such team members can actively pursue opportunities for the business that interest them.
- Cultural awareness and community engagement in the regions where we build, run through partnership programs with First Nations facilitators and Elders.
