Supervise blade repair campaigns on operating and newly erected wind farms, leading rope access teams working at height on turbine blades. As the Level 3 rope access supervisor you hold safety and technical accountability for every crew member on rope.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise rope access blade repair crews and hold Level 3 rescue accountability on site
- Plan and approve rope access rigging, anchor selection and rescue provision for each work scope
- Supervise composite laminate repair, gelcoat, leading edge protection and lightning protection works
- Conduct and verify blade inspections and defect classification prior to repair
- Ensure repairs are executed to the approved engineering scheme and OEM procedure
- Manage weather limits, wind speed hold points and daily go/no-go decisions
- Complete repair documentation, photographic records and quality sign-off
- Inspect, register and manage rope access, rescue and repair equipment
About you
- Recognised composite or blade repair training certification
- Construction Induction Card (White Card — CPCCWHS1001)
- IRATA or SPRAT Level 3 rope access certification — essential and current
- Current Australian driver's licence
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST)
- GWO Blade Repair
- Current advanced first aid (HLTAID014 or higher)
- Minimum 5 years' blade repair experience with at least 2 years supervising rope access teams
