About the work

You will join an experienced drill and blast team operating in a busy open pit production environment.

The role will involve

- Operating blast hole and top hammer drill rigs
- Completing pre-start inspections and identifying equipment faults
- Drilling accurately to the required pattern, depth and angle
- Monitoring ground conditions and equipment performance
- Maintaining drilling records and production information




- Taking ownership of equipment care and housekeeping
- Working safely while contributing to daily production targets

Drill rig experience Experience operating any of the following equipment will be highly regarded:

- Epiroc D65 and T45
- Sandvik DR10i, DP1500 and DP1600
- GD5000
- Comparable top hammer production drill rigs

What you will need

- Proven blast hole drilling experience in open pit mining
- Top hammer drilling experience, preferably within gold mining
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
- Strong safety record and commitment to equipment care
- Ability to work effectively within a production-focused crew
- Availability to FIFO from Perth

FIFO travel Client flights depart from Perth only. Interstate applicants are welcome to apply but will need to arrange and fund their own travel to Perth.
