About the role

Ace Mechanical Solutions is seeking an experienced Workshop Fabricator / Boilermaker to join our team. This role is suited to a tradesperson with experience in light to medium fabrication, workshop repairs and general maintenance. The successful applicant will work on a variety of mining and mobile plant equipment, with a strong focus on quality, safety and productivity.

You will be required to work independently as well as part of a team, with the ability to complete jobs to a high standard and within required timeframes.

Key responsibilities

- Light to medium fabrication and workshop repairs
- General structural and mechanical fabrication
- Crack repairs on mining and mobile plant equipment
- Welding, cutting, gouging and general workshop duties
- Repair and modification of components and equipment
- Working safely and maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Following job specifications and workplace procedures

About you

- Trade qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator – Certificate III or similar
- Experience in light to medium fabrication
- Mobile plant maintenance experience desirable




- Heavy fabrication experience desirable
- Experience with crack repairs on mining equipment
- Competent in MIG, TIG and stick welding
- Experience with Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
- Experience with oxy and plasma cutting and gouging
- Experience with lancing and pin removal
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
