Building Auditor – Building Fabric & Services

About the Role

We're seeking experienced Building Auditors to join our Brisbane team, conducting comprehensive condition assessments across commercial and retail development facilities. You'll play a key role in evaluating building fabric and services, capturing detailed data to support asset management, compliance, and capital planning decisions.

About You

You're a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in building condition assessment. You bring:

- Proven experience conducting building fabric condition assessments (façade, ceilings, floors structure, finishes)
- Solid understanding of building services (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire) and their condition lifecycle
- Experience working across commercial and retail development or facility types
- Solid data capture and reporting skills, with accuracy and consistency across large datasets
- Ability to interpret building plans, specifications, and compliance documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with clients and stakeholders




- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to site as required
- Relevant qualifications in building surveying, construction, engineering, or a related field (highly regarded)

What You'll Be Doing

- Conducting on-site building condition audits across a portfolio of commercial and retail building assets
- Assessing building fabric and services condition, identifying defects, risks, and remaining useful life
- Capturing and recording accurate data using a tablet and other various tools
- Preparing clear, well-structured condition assessment reports
- Liaising with clients, facility managers, and internal teams throughout the audit process
- Supporting capital works planning and asset lifecycle recommendations
