BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Your New Role The Shire of Narrogin has an excellent chance for a skilled, practical and team-oriented individual to join our Infrastructure Services team as a full-time Building Maintenance Technician.
In this hands-on role, you will undertake preventative, reactive and programmed maintenance across the Shire’s buildings, facilities and associated infrastructure. Your work will include carpentry, minor construction, repairs, painting, tiling, basic plumbing, roof maintenance and other general building maintenance activities.
What you’ll need to succeed The successful candidate will require:
- Trade Certificate in Carpentry or a related building trade
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current WA C-Class Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated experience in residential or commercial building maintenance or construction
- Experience undertaking repairs and maintenance across a range of buildings, assets and infrastructure
- Sound practical skills in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving, time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise competing tasks
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to workplace safety, customer service and quality workmanship
- Working Safely at Heights, Electrical Test and Tag, Asbestos Awareness or Removal, Elevated Work Platform and MR Driver’s Licence qualifications would be highly regarded.
