Business Analyst – System Migration

3 month contract

Hybrid - Prahran, VIC

$800.00 per day including Superannuation

Altitude is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a three month contract to support a critical legacy system migration project.

This role calls for a confident communicator who can work closely with research and clinical staff to extract clear requirements and translate them into a solid business case for replacing an outdated practice management and clinical records system. If you enjoy untangling legacy processes and building bridges between technical and non-technical stakeholders, this is a great next contract for you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the project manager to assess the current state of an ageing practice management and clinical records system nearing end of life, and define requirements for its replacement
- Engage directly with research and clinical staff to extract and document how data is used, captured, and relied upon day to day within the legacy system
- Analyse current state processes, identify gaps, and determine future state goals to support a well informed business case for migration
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and one on one discussions to draw out requirements from subject matter experts who may not naturally articulate their needs in a structured way
- Produce explicit,



well organised documentation and recommendations that support decision making by senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to elicit clear requirements from technical specialists
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, ideally including exposure to legacy database or practice management system migrations, and work with technical or specialist teams who require support to articulate requirements clearly
- Ability to independently manage a fast moving three month engagement with strong time management, urgency, and proactive communication when timelines are at risk
- Comfortable working in a professional, open, and collaborative office workplace, with an initial period on site to build relationships with the team.
