Business Analyst | Operations & Asset Management

Initial 6-Month Contract | $800–$850/Day + Superannuation | Perth

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the ongoing improvement of Works Delivery and Asset Management platforms within an established asset-intensive environment. Reporting to the Asset Strategy & Risk Manager, this is an embedded role focused on improving the quality, consistency and usability of business information, documentation and supporting systems. The primary focus of the role is document and data quality, ensuring business, operational and system documentation is accurate, current, consistent and fit for purpose, while also supporting the quality and integrity of underlying data and information.

About the Role

This opportunity combines Business Analysis, document and data quality, process improvement and technical documentation, working closely with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. Key responsibilities include:

- Ownership and leadership of document and data quality across relevant systems, processes and business documentation.
- Proactively review, validate, update and maintain system documentation, user guides, manuals, process maps, work instructions and training materials.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplication, outdated information and data quality issues.
- Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to validate information and ensure documentation accurately reflects current processes and system functionality.
- Analyse and document business processes across Works Delivery, Maintenance, Asset Management and related functions.
- Review existing data capture processes, forms and information requirements and identify opportunities to improve data quality and consistency.
- Engage with business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and future system requirements.
- Elicit and document business and functional requirements.
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria,



process models and supporting delivery artefacts.
- Work with technical delivery teams to clarify requirements and support successful implementation of system enhancements.
- Maintain registers of documentation, data quality issues, changes and improvement requirements.
- Ensure changes to systems and processes are accurately reflected across supporting documentation and information.

About You You will be an experienced Business Analyst with an operational background, strong documentation, information quality and process analysis capability, ideally with experience in an asset-intensive environment.

You will bring

- Strong requirements gathering, process analysis and documentation skills.
- Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements and functional specifications.
- The ability to review complex information, identify inconsistencies and determine what needs to change.
- Experience working between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Experience working with Asset Management, Maintenance and/or Works Delivery processes.
- Strong written communication, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving information quality issues rather than simply documenting them.

Desirable Experience Experience with the following will be highly regarded:

- Ellipse, Maximo, SAP PM or similar Asset Management platforms.
- Azure DevOps exposure
- BPMN, Visio or other process modelling tools.
- Data quality or information governance frameworks.
