Role Description This is a part-time, entry/junior Business Analyst role based in Sydney, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home.

The Business

Analyst will support research and administrative teams by gathering and documenting business requirements, mapping business processes, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Typical tasks include analyzing data from internal systems, preparing clear reports and presentations for stakeholders, and assisting in the design and implementation of process improvements. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to understand their needs, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the monitoring of key performance indicators for projects and institutional initiatives.

Qualifications

- Solid analytical skills and the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.




- Foundational experience or education in business analysis and business requirements gathering.
- Understanding of business processes, process mapping, and workflow documentation.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary education in Business, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or progress toward such a degree).
- Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, project management platforms).
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks with guidance.
- Interest in clinical and biomedical research or healthcare settings is highly beneficial.
