Business Services & Tax - Manager A well established regional accounting firm in Wangaratta is looking for an experienced Manager to lead client relationships and mentor a growing team.
About The Role
This is a genuine opportunity to step into a Manager position within a highly regarded, long standing business services and tax practice based in Wangaratta. You'll take carriage of a diverse portfolio of business clients, lead a team of accountants, and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice. This firm has built a strong reputation across the region over many decades and offers real pathways to progress toward Director level.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of business services and tax clients across a range of industries
- Reviewing financial statements, tax returns and income tax provisions prepared by your team
- Providing proactive tax planning and business advisory support to clients
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of accountants from graduate through to senior level
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Liaising directly with Partners on complex technical matters and client strategy
- Supporting practice management initiatives including WIP, billing and team workflow
What We Are Looking For
- CA or CPA qualified
- Proven experience operating at Manager level within public practice
- Strong technical knowledge across business services, tax and compliance
- Confident leading and developing junior staff
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- A collaborative approach and genuine interest in helping clients grow their business
