As a Butcher at The Steak-Out Butchery, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meat cuts, maintaining product presentation, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and Brazilian-style BBQ expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and portion a variety of meat cuts (beef, lamb, pork, and chicken)
- Break down primal and sub-primal cuts with precision
- Produce value-added products (sausages, skewers, marinated meats)
- Maintain clean, organised, and food-safe workstations
- Ensure all products are displayed to a high visual standard
- Assist customers with recommendations, cuts, and cooking advice
- Monitor stock levels and minimise waste
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations (NSW standards)
- Work closely with the team to maintain workflow and efficiency

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a butcher (retail or commercial)




- Strong knife skills and meat knowledge
- Understanding of different cuts and cooking methods
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Team player with a positive attitude

Qualifications (Preferred)
- Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) or equivalent
- Food Safety Handling Certificate
- Previous experience in a butcher shop or similar setting
