What You'll Be Doing To provide high quality cardiac sonography support to one or more cardiac units within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (Randwick and Westmead), including performing high quality paediatric echocardiograms for a range of cardiac patients. This role works under the direction of the consultant paediatric cardiologists to produce high quality imaging and interpret findings, and is an integral part of the cardiac service.

- Bachelor of Science or equivalent,



and accreditation with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (excluding student registration)
- Experience in independent cardiac sonography, preferably including experience in paediatric sonography
- Demonstrated clinical reasoning skills in the performance of imaging procedures and experience in the use of computers in an imaging department
- Effective interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary environment, communicating effectively both orally and in writing
- Good operational and organisational skills in managing echo rooms
- Willingness to work at both sites within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network – Westmead and Randwick
