About the Opportunity

Join the University of Tasmania's newly established Careers team within People and Wellbeing and play a key role in delivering high-quality recruitment services that support the University's success. As a Careers Officer, you will manage end-to-end recruitment activities, partnering closely with hiring managers and Careers Partners to achieve successful hiring outcomes.

This is an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact by guiding hiring managers through the recruitment process and ensuring candidates experience a professional, engaging and respectful recruitment journey. You will coordinate recruitment activity from requisition through to appointment, providing advice, maintaining strong governance standards, and supporting timely and well-informed decision-making.

In this role, you will build trusted relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders, manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously, and provide expert support throughout the recruitment lifecycle. You will apply strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and excellent communication skills to deliver efficient, compliant, and candidate-focused outcomes.

Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will play an important role in enabling great recruitment experiences and helping the University secure the talent needed to achieve its strategic priorities.

What’s Required

- Demonstrated experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment or selection processes, including assessment coordination, documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Strong attention to detail,



with proven capability maintaining accurate, compliant and audit‑ready recruitment records and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment activities and competing priorities using structured, organised and disciplined work practices.
- Clear written communication skills, with experience preparing professional recruitment correspondence using templates and established guidance.
- Confidence using recruitment systems and digital tools to track progress, manage records and support efficient, high‑quality recruitment delivery.

- Demonstrated ability to provide responsive customer service and work collaboratively in a team environment.

What’s on Offer?

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $105,665 comprising base salary within the range of $80,869 to $90,312 plus 17% superannuation.
