College is seeking a Casual Assessor to support online assessment marking for aviation maintenance training. This is a flexible, ongoing opportunity suited to an experienced aviation maintenance professional who holds the required Aeroskills and training qualifications and wants work that can fit around their existing availability.
Working remotely, you will assess and mark online submissions with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency and attention to detail. Approximately 5 to 40 hours may be available per week, depending on workload and your availability.
What You'll Do
- Review and mark online aviation maintenance assessments
- Assess candidate submissions against approved assessment requirements
- Maintain accuracy, consistency and attention to detail
- Apply relevant aviation maintenance knowledge when assessing submissions
- Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation
- Work independently from home while meeting agreed assessment timeframes
- Communicate with the Sigma Aerospace College team as required
- Support the ongoing delivery of aviation maintenance training

Essential Requirements
- Must have worked in an Australian aircraft maintenance workplace within the last 5 years - candidates currently working in industry will be highly regarded
- Diploma of Aeroskills, along with the relevant Statement of Attainment
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Valid Australian work rights (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
