About the role

NQ Party Hire – Townsville is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Casual Event Labourers to join our agile team. This is a casual position based in Townsville, QLD 4810, offering flexible work opportunities for individuals who enjoy hands-on labour and working in fast-paced event environments. As an Event Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our events run smoothly by providing essential support with setup, breakdown, and general labour tasks throughout the event lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

- Setting up event equipment, marquees, tables, chairs at various venues
- Breaking down and packing away equipment following events
- Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles and storage facilities
- Assisting with event logistics and coordination on the day
- Following health and safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Working as part of a team to ensure efficient event delivery
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of work areas and event spaces
- Cleaning and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Prepping equipment for dispatch/ Stock control on return

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as event schedules require
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Experience in event support, hospitality,



or general labour roles is advantageous
- Current driver's license is required
- Willingness to obtain any required safety certifications or training
