Casual Housekeeper – Boutique Hotel (Battery Point, Hobart)

We’re a small, boutique hotel in Battery Point and we’re looking for an experienced Casual Housekeeper who’s energetic, presents well, and genuinely enjoys looking after guests. If you have a sharp eye for detail and take pride in leaving rooms spotless, we’d love to hear from you.

The role

- Casual position – between 15 to 20 hours per week (subject to occupancy)

- 7-day roster (weekends/public holidays on rotation)

- Day shifts (generally mornings into early afternoon)

Key duties

- Service guest rooms to a consistently high standard (beds, bathrooms, floors, dusting)

- Replenish linen, amenities and guest supplies

- Clean and maintain common areas (stairs/entrance) to boutique standards

- Report maintenance issues and manage lost property appropriately

- Work efficiently to deadlines without compromising quality

- Assist with breakfast setup and replenishment: restocking items, clearing/wiping tables, running the dishwasher,



and resetting the space for the next day

About you (essential)

- Previous housekeeping experience is essential (hotel/accommodation experience strongly preferred)

- Excellent attention to detail and high personal standards

- Energetic, reliable and physically fit for an active role

- Presents well and is friendly, calm and respectful with guests

- Works well independently and as part of a small team

- Available across a 7-day roster (including some weekends)

Work rights (significant)
