Registered Nurse – Community / Home‑Based Care

We are seeking experienced and patient‑focused Registered Nurses to deliver in‑home education and sub‑cutaneous therapy support for patients prescribed specialist medications. This is a flexible, community‑based opportunity suited to nurses who enjoy autonomy, patient education, and working one‑on‑one in the home environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will support patients and/or their carers through:

- Education and training on self‑administered sub‑cutaneous injections
- In‑home sub‑cutaneous infusions, including pre‑ and post‑observations
- Documentation, reporting, and adverse event monitoring in line with program requirements

Visit Expectations

- Patient contact to be made within 48 hours of referral to arrange a mutually convenient visit

- Visit duration
- Injection training: approx. 1.5 hours
- Infusion visits: approx. 2.5 hours

- Completion of visit documentation and time recording within 24 hours via a secure online portal
- Prompt reporting of any adverse events, incidents, or spills in accordance with protocols

Training Provided

- Comprehensive online training program covering:




- Program overview
- Disease and medication education
- Medication administration
- Pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting
- Standard operating procedures

Essential Requirements

- Current Registered Nurse registration (AHPRA)
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated experience with Sub‑cutaneous injections AND IV cannulation
- High attention to detail and strong clinical documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of computer literacy and confidence using online portals
- Adaptable availability (days and times)
- Access to a safe, roadworthy vehicle
- Current unrestricted Australian driver’s licence

Desirable Experience
