About the Role
This is a great opportunity to lead the growth and performance of our Casualty Business Unit across WA/SA. You’ll be at the centre of driving profitable business, building strong broker partnerships, and helping shape the future of the team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the Casualty unit’s financial performance, with responsibility for underwriting profit, rate and loss ratio targets, and overall budget delivery.
- Develop and implement the unit business plan in partnership with Casualty Management, ensuring clear alignment to growth and profitability objectives.
- Analyse portfolio performance to identify profit opportunities, address underperformance, and take decisive action to improve results.
- Drive premium growth by delivering new business, retention, rate, and product growth targets.
- Build and execute effective sales and marketing strategies across the broker market, including prospecting, account rounding, and new business development.
- Strengthen long-term relationships with brokers, producers,
and insureds while identifying opportunities to expand Chubb’s presence.
- Ensure robust underwriting discipline, quality, and integrity, including adherence to underwriting standards and achievement of audit score targets.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Casualty team, including recruitment, performance management, training, appraisals, and retention.
- Support a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace culture, while helping team members grow in line with their strengths and career ambitions.
- Manage expenses, commission plans, and service standards to ensure efficient use of resources and budget control.
- Oversee broker service delivery, feedback processes, reporting, and CRM activity to support strong stakeholder engagement and business performance.
- Work closely with internal partners across claims, technical services, distribution, and management to deliver the best outcomes for the business.
