Chef / Cook – Cantonese Restaurant Chef Wong – Huntingdale, VIC Full-Time / Part time Available Chef Wong is looking for an experienced and reliable Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team at our busy Huntingdale restaurant. We specialise in authentic Cantonese yum cha and handmade dim sum, with a strong focus on quality, consistency and traditional flavours.
About the Role You will be responsible for: Preparing and cooking dishes to Chef Wong's standards Daily food preparation and kitchen setup Maintaining consistency, quality and presentation Managing your section during busy service periods Following food safety and hygiene procedures Monitoring stock and minimising food waste Keeping your work area clean and organised Working closely with our kitchen and production teams
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working as a chef or cook Chinese or Cantonese cooking experience is highly regarded Yum cha or dim sum understanding is an advantage
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Good knife and food preparation skills
- Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
Cantonese and/or Mandarin speaking is an advantage
