Supporting customers across mining, earthmoving and heavy industry, the business operates a national network of branches and onsite operations, providing specialist products, technical services, repairs, logistics and procurement.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CEO and joining the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO will lead the Finance and Procurement functions and play a key role in shaping the organisation's next phase.

This is a broad commercial and operational CFO mandate. You will partner with the CEO, Board and senior leadership team to strengthen financial performance, improve visibility and decision-making, enhance commercial discipline and ensure the organisation has the financial infrastructure and capability to support significant growth.

The role will initially require someone comfortable getting close to the business and the numbers, while progressively strengthening the finance team, systems and reporting capability around them.





Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the Finance and Procurement functions across a national, multi-site operation
- Partnering with the CEO and Board on strategy, growth and financial performance
- Driving budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital and long-term financial planning
- Delivering meaningful management and Board reporting and commercial insights
- Improving visibility of branch, contract and overall business profitability
- Partnering with Operations and Commercial teams to strengthen pricing, margins and contract performance
- Managing banking relationships, funding, treasury and capital requirements
- Strengthening governance, financial controls and risk management
- Building and developing a scalable, high-performing finance team
- Supporting future expansion, investment and transaction readiness

Importantly, this is not an office-bound finance role. The CFO will build strong relationships across the branch network and onsite operations, developing a genuine understanding of the commercial and operational drivers of the business.

About You

We're seeking a commercially minded and energetic CFO, Finance Director or senior finance executive who thrives in dynamic, growth-focused environments.

Ideally, you will bring:

- CA or CPA qualifications and a relevant tertiary qualification




- Senior finance leadership experience within a complex, multi-site or operationally intensive organisation
- Experience working in contract-based, project-based or service-led environments where understanding operational performance is critical
- A track record of joining growing or evolving businesses and strengthening the finance capability around you
- Experience building or developing finance teams, including developing a solid second-in-command
- Strong systems capability and experience improving the quality and use of financial data across an organisation
- A practical, visible and approachable leadership style that builds credibility across all levels of a business
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate effectively in an environment that continues to evolve

Experience within mining services, heavy equipment, industrial services, contracting, equipment dealerships or another asset and labour-intensive environments will be highly regarded. What's on Offer?
