Civil EngineerKBR, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East Linewide Alliance, is proud to be helping deliver one of Australia's most significant infrastructure projects.

SRL is a city-shaping program that will transform how people live, work and move around Melbourne. The 90km orbital rail line will connect every major train line, link key precincts, and support thriving communities across the city. SRL East, the first stage of the project, will deliver 26km of twin underground tunnels and six new stations between Cheltenham and Box Hill.

As part of the Linewide Alliance, KBR is delivering critical design services across civil, structural, track, drainage, power, systems and infrastructure disciplines that will support safe and reliable operations of the future rail network.

The Opportunity

As part of the Suburban Rail Loop Alliance, we are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our growing transport infrastructure team.

Working across major projects including Suburban Rail Loop (SRL), North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) and VIDA Roads, you will contribute to the design and delivery of civil infrastructure solutions, with a focus on roads, drainage and associated transport infrastructure.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support the planning, design and delivery of complex city shaping infrastructure projects while developing your technical expertise and contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

Whilst this position will initially support the SRL Alliance, this is a permanent role with KBR which opens the door to working on other iconic infrastructure projects nationally.

What You'll Bring





You will have a degree in Civil Engineering and 3+ years’ experience in the design and delivery of transport or civil infrastructure projects along with:

- Experience in the design of roads, highways, drainage and civil infrastructure
- Experience delivering projects within a multidisciplinary consulting or contractor environment
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian design standards and industry practices
- Proficiency in civil design software such as Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and Bentley Microstation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A cooperative approach and ability to work effectively within project teams.
- A practical engineering mindset, strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
