A well-established business based in Strathfield is looking to appoint a Civil / Stormwater Engineer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design, project ownership and working across a strong pipeline of residential and commercial developments.

Your new role

As a Civil / Stormwater Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of civil and stormwater solutions across a varied project portfolio. Projects will include residential developments, commercial buildings and mixed-use schemes, giving you exposure to both technical design and broader project coordination. You will work closely with senior engineers, clients, architects, councils and internal drafting teams to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard from concept through to detailed design and approval.

What you will be doing

- Preparing civil and stormwater designs for residential and commercial projects
- Undertaking stormwater drainage design, OSD, WSUD and water quality assessments
- Preparing stormwater management plans, reports and design documentation
- Using design software such as DRAINS, MUSIC, 12D, Civil 3D or AutoCAD
- Liaising with councils, authorities, architects, builders and clients




- Supporting projects from concept design through to construction documentation
- Reviewing drawings and coordinating with internal and external project teams

What you will need to succeed

- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in civil, stormwater or land development design within the Australian market
- Solid understanding of drainage, OSD, WSUD and local council requirements
- Software experience in DRAINS, MUSIC, 12D, Civil 3D or AutoCAD will be highly regarded
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients and project stakeholders
- A practical, detail-focused and solutions-driven approach to design delivery
