About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join Blooming Supports on a casual basis. Based in Warwick, WA 6024, this role is ideal for individuals who are flexible and passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential support to clients, helping them with daily living activities, promoting their independence, and enabling them to participate in community activities. This casual position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work varied hours to suit your availability.

What you’ll be doing

Providing personal care and support to clients with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene

Supporting clients to access community activities, appointments, and recreational opportunities

Assisting with meal preparation and nutritional support in line with individual care plans

Promoting client independence and encouraging participation in meaningful activities

Building positive, trusting relationships with clients and their families

Recording and reporting on client support activities and any concerns in accordance with service requirements

Maintaining a safe and clean environment in clients' homes or support settings





Contributing to the development and implementation of individualised support plans

Communicating effectively with the support team, management, and other service providers

Adhering to all health, safety, and duty of care requirements

What we’re looking for

A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to person-centred care

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues

Patience, empathy, and a respectful, non-judgmental approach to support

Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks

Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to manage your own time effectively in a casual role

A valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)

A current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain one)

Experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar care environment is highly desirable

A valid driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred)

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to confidentiality and professional boundaries
