The Opportunity

An established Tier 2 commercial fit-out contractor is looking for an experienced Client Relationship Manager to take ownership of key client relationships and strengthen the way the business engages with its market. This is not a traditional cold-sales BDM role.

The business already has a strong reputation, long-standing client relationships and a significant level of repeat work. The focus of this role is to build on that platform - staying close to clients, understanding their needs, strengthening partnerships and helping ensure the business remains front of mind when future opportunities arise.

You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team and become a trusted external face of the business across Sydney’s commercial fit-out market.

The client is also looking for someone proactive and commercially minded - someone who will bring ideas to the table around client engagement, account strategy and market approach, and work closely with marketing and design to strengthen how the business connects with its clients.

This is an established Tier 2 Design & Construct head contractor specialising in high-quality commercial workplace fit-out and refurbishment. With more than 15 years in the Sydney market, the business has built its reputation through quality delivery, repeat clients and long-standing industry relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing





- Own and strengthen relationships across key clients and strategic accounts
- Stay close to clients to understand their business, future needs and upcoming project activity
- Expand relationships across the Sydney commercial fit-out market through genuine, long-term engagement
- Bring proactive ideas around client strategy, relationship management and market approach
- Work closely with marketing and design on presentations, campaigns, events and client engagement initiatives
- Support key pitches and strategic opportunities where relationship continuity is important
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout delivery and beyond project completion

Who We’re Looking For

This is where we're going to be quite specific. You must already know the Sydney commercial fit-out market and bring a strong, established network from within the head contractor / D&C; fit-out space.

This is not a role for someone looking to build their network from scratch. You’ll already understand the market, the key players and how trusted relationships are developed over time.

We’re looking for

- Current or recent experience within a commercial fit-out / D&C; head contractor




- A strong existing network across the Sydney commercial fit-out market
- Established relationships with clients, PMs, tenant reps, consultants and key industry stakeholders
- A track record of building long-term client relationships that lead to repeat business
- Strong commercial instincts and the confidence to contribute ideas to senior leadership
- A polished, credible and naturally engaging client-facing style
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across marketing, design, pre-construction and delivery

You may currently be a Client Relationship Manager, Business Development Manager, Business Development Director or in another senior client-facing role within a commercial fit-out head contractor. Your title is less important than your network, reputation, relationship style and ability to build trust over the long term.
