Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre (BVSC) is seeking a passionate, highly organised and client-focused Part-Time Administration Officer to join our team.
Working within a busy specialist veterinary hospital, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive experience for our clients and their pets from the moment they walk through our doors. This is a varied and rewarding part-time position, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team and genuinely cares about providing exceptional service.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in veterinary reception, medical reception, healthcare or a similarly client-focused environment
- Is genuinely passionate about providing outstanding customer service
- Communicates confidently and compassionately, particularly in challenging or emotional situations
- Is highly organised and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Can confidently manage competing demands while remaining calm and professional
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Is compassionate, reliable and committed to delivering a high standard of service to clients and their pets
The Role Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming clients and patients to our specialist hospital
- Managing a busy reception desk,
phone calls and email enquiries
- Scheduling specialist appointments and coordinating bookings
- Liaising with referring veterinary clinics and our specialist teams
- Processing payments, estimates and client accounts
- Supporting the smooth flow of patients through the hospital
- Providing clear, compassionate and professional communication
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records
- Working closely with our veterinary, nursing and administration teams
