Youth JusticeTeacher | Western Sydney
- Full-time, Temporary 12-monthcontract with view to become ongoing
- Commencing immediately or ASAP
- Small Class sizes (3-6 students with an SLSO)

School Profile:
SchoolHouse isworking in partnership with aGovernment Department of Youth Justice. The YouthJustice Centre is committed to equity of educational opportunity for all – “A Chanceto Learn”. It caters to boys’ aged 15-21 years, who are part of a remandfacility. They present diverse backgrounds and experiences, with some havingsome form of mental health, disability and/or behavioural disorder. There is ahigh turnover of students, with most staying less than 3 weeks, and a portionremaining for over 12 months.

Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications(Bachelor of Education) etc.
- CurrentNESA Accreditation andWWCC(or eligibility to gain)
- Ability to register with theDepartment of Education (which can be quick tracked upon offer)
- Dynamic professionals who havethe ability to build rapport, display resilience, and show compassion andempathy towards working with students in unique situations
- Excellent communication and behaviourmanagement skills
- Motivation and a passion to work withand support young boys on their journey through secondary education
