Lead with expertise and compassion in a rewarding Mental Health Clinical Nurse role.

Permanent and temporary Full-Time/Part time Clinical Nurse opportunities with Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services across Brisbane’s south side.

Your New Role

As a Clinical Nurse within Mental Health Hospital in the Home, you'll provide advanced, person-centred mental health nursing care while working autonomously and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to:

- Deliver comprehensive assessment, care planning and treatment for consumers experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Provide expert clinical leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving for complex care needs.
- Support consumers and their families/carers in the home environment as an alternative to inpatient care.
- Coordinate care and contribute to clinical leadership, education, research and quality improvement.
- Mentor and support nursing staff and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Work across a seven-day roster covering morning and afternoon shifts.

About You We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who brings strong clinical judgement, contemporary mental health knowledge and a genuine commitment to recovery-focused, person-centred care, with:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- A tertiary nursing qualification, such as a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
- Advanced clinical assessment, care planning and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in mental health nursing, particularly complex care and risk assessment.
- Experience assessing and managing alcohol withdrawal and substance use disorders is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of contemporary alcohol and other drug treatment and recovery-oriented practice.
- Robust communication, collaboration, leadership and delegation skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, education, professional development and quality improvement.




- Postgraduate qualifications or current postgraduate study in a relevant area is highly desirable.
