Based in South Fremantle, our client is a fast-growing, innovative modular construction company specialising in manufacturing high-quality, 10-star, steel-framed modular buildings.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity is available for an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join its team. This position will play an important role in producing precision components used across Redipod’s modular building projects, as this company transitions from beign a construction fiorm to a manufacturing firm.

THE ROLE: As a CNC Machinist / Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating the Howick CNC to manufacture cold-rolled steel into components in accordance with detailed drawings, specifications and required tolerances.

Your responsibilities will include

- Programming, setting and operating CNC machinery
- Operating manual machine tools where required
- Developing CNC toolpaths from CAD designs using CAM software
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Manufacturing precision components to specified tolerances
- Selecting, setting and adjusting tooling and machine parameters
- Using precision measuring equipment to inspect completed components
- Identifying and resolving machining or production issues
- Completing quality documentation and maintaining accurate production records
- Performing routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Working safely and contributing positively within the broader manufacturing team

ABOUT YOU: To succeed in this position, you will ideally have:





- A relevant Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, or an equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience operating and programming CNC machinery
- Experience using manual machining equipment
- Experience with CAM programming and developing CNC toolpaths from CAD designs
- Strong technical drawing interpretation skills
- Experience manufacturing detailed components to close tolerances
- Competence using precision measuring and inspection equipment
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems, preferably within an ISO-accredited environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality and productivity
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
