About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Press Brake & Profile Cutting Operator to join our Fabrication team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of CNC press brake and profile cutting machinery, ensuring components are manufactured to specification while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery to form components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate CNC profile cutting equipment to process steel plate and fabricated components.
- Interpret engineering and workshop drawings to ensure accurate manufacture of parts.
- Select, prepare, and handle materials in line with production requirements.
- Perform nesting and re-nesting activities to maximise material utilisation and minimise waste.
- Prioritise and manage work orders to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Safely load, unload, and move materials and fabricated components using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Conduct routine quality checks using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, organised, and serviceable condition.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

About you

- Experience operating CNC press brake machinery.
- Experience with CNC profile cutting equipment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and workshop drawings.
- Knowledge of steel plate processing and fabrication practices.
- Experience with material selection and preparation.
- Understanding of nesting and re-nesting principles for material optimisation.
- Robust quality focus and experience using precision measuring equipment.




- Ability to work effectively to production schedules and changing priorities.
- Current Forklift Licence.
- Experience operating overhead cranes.
