Commercial Finance Manager - NBL Group

Full Time | Melbourne Bayswater & Cremorne)

You want to own a finance function properly, not just be part of one.

This is a newly defined, hands on role. You will run the day to day finance function for Dream Courts, a growing sport court design and installation business within the NBL Group. You will work from transaction to report, and be the finance partner the leadership team relies on.

You will spend four days a week on the ground at Dream Courts, as part of its leadership team, and one day a week at the NBL Group office working alongside the wider group finance team and entities including Performance Travel and First Ever.

The Role

You will own the full finance function, end to end.

- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and budgets
- Manage accounts payable, invoicing, progress claims and debtor follow up with your team
- Run end to end payroll, including super, STP and award compliance
- Own job costing, WIP and project profitability reporting across all jobs
- Keep BAS, IAS, super and payroll tax obligations on track
- Build and improve finance controls, processes and policies as the business grows
- Partner with the NBL Group finance team one day a week on reporting and controls





Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who wants to own the numbers, not just report them.

- CA/CPA qualified, confident running a finance function solo
- Comfortable using AI tools, and keen to keep learning
- Hands on payroll experience: awards, super and STP
- Robust on management accounts, reconciliations and cash flow
- Proficient in Xero or MYOB and Excel

And the non-negotiables - you're organised and reliable, you move between transaction detail and business level reporting in the same day, and you bring commercial insight, not just accuracy. Experience in construction, trades or project based businesses is a real bonus.
