The Valley Pub

Busy local pub with a kitchen that takes its food seriously — honest pub classics done properly. We're after a full-time Commis Chef to join a tight, well-run brigade.

The role

Hands-on kitchen work for someone early in their career who wants to learn properly. You'll work across all sections under our Chef de Partie and Sous Chef, building skill and speed every service.

- Prep to spec — butchery, portioning, sauces, stocks and set up
- Run a section during service under supervision, plating to standard
- Check deliveries, rotate stock, label and date correctly
- Keep your station clean, organised and food-safe
- Help with clean-down, waste tracking and close

What we're after
- A genuine interest in food and a willingness to learn
- Basic knife skills and solid kitchen hygiene
- Calm and organised through a busy service




- Reliable, punctual, good communicator
- Available across a seven-day roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
- Full working rights in Australia

Cert III in Commercial Cookery (or in progress), Food Safety Handling and previous pub or bistro experience are all a bonus, not a must.
