Senior Hazardous Materials & Occupational Hygiene Consultant

I'm recruiting an experienced Hazardous Materials / Occupational Hygiene Consultant for a specialist consultancy in Adelaide.

n

This is a senior technical position rather than a heavy people-management role. You'll be the senior technical person within the Adelaide team, working on the more complex projects, reviewing work and helping develop less experienced consultants.

The role

n

You'll be involved in:

n

n
- Complex HazMat and Occupational Hygiene projects
n
- Asbestos surveys, air monitoring and clearance inspections
n
- Occupational exposure assessments
n
- Technical review of reports
n
- Client advice and project coordination
n

n

The work covers a good mix of industry, infrastructure, defence, education and facilities projects.

n

I'm looking for:

n

n




- Around 6+ years' HazMat / Asbestos / Occupational Hygiene experience
n
- Relevant degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, Science or Engineering
n
- Strong technical and report-writing skills
n
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients
n
- SafeWork SA Licensed Asbestos Assessor would be a big advantage – or the ability/willingness to obtain it.
n

This would suit someone who enjoys being technically hands-on and wants more influence without necessarily wanting to become a full-time people manager.

Adelaide | Full Time | Versatile working

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
