The Department of Government Services (DGS) wasestablishedon 1 January 2023 to improveeveryone’s experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses.We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and localgovernment as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
The Onboarding Change Manager leads strategic change initiatives to support the delivery of shared services within the Department of Government Services.This position plays a key role indeliveringchange and engagement activitiesto embed change within operational areasand achieve strong user adoption. The role focuses on the people side of change, including business processes, systems, organisational structures, and training.The role will work closely with the Departments communications team.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive change management strategy, including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement plans such as meetings, workshops, focus groups, trainingsessionsand presentations.Working closely with the department communications team.
Establish andmaintainstrong networks with a range of key stakeholders across DGSanddepartments. Use these relationships to actively promote and drivechange adoption.
Conduct Change Analysis and Change Impact Assessments using change methodologies to support change management activities.
Measure and report on the effectiveness of change management activities. Use feedback and data to adjust strategies and ensure continuous improvement
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need topossessthe followingattributes:
Solid strategic planning and business planning skills aligned with organisational frameworks and long-term goalsand strong demonstrated experience in developing and managingcomprehensive change management strategy.
Thought leadership in onboarding, with the ability to assess broader risks,contextand stakeholder needs.
Strong senior stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Ability to develop and implement strategic onboarding frameworks and plans.
Focus on addressing systemic issues and delivering sustainable, long-term outcomes.
This role is fixed term for two years. This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.
