We are working with a well-established national construction business who are looking for a Contracts Officer to join its commercial team in Sydney.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3+ years' commercial contracts experience who enjoys working across complex construction projects and wants to develop their career within a collaborative, high-performing team.

n

You'll work closely with an experienced National Commercial Manager, supporting contract reviews, commercial negotiations and governance across a diverse portfolio of projects.

n

About the Role

n

This is a commercially focused role where you'll help manage contractual risk while partnering with project teams and stakeholders across the business to review contracts and mitigate risk.

n

You'll be involved throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring documentation is compliant, commercial risks are identified early, and contract records are maintained to a high standard.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Review construction contracts and identify commercial and contractual risks
n
- Assist with contract negotiations and departures from standard agreements
n
- Support subcontractor and supplier contract reviews.
n




- Maintain contract registers and ensure documentation is accurately managed
n
- Provide commercial support and advice to project teams and senior stakeholders
n
- Assist in improving contract management processes and governance
n
- Work across multiple live construction projects and business divisions
n

About You

n

n
- 3+ years' experience in commercial contracts, financial contracts,construction lawor contracts administration
n
- Construction industry experience is highly regarded
n
- Strong understanding of contract review and commercial risk
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
n
- Confident using Microsoft Office and Adobe and exposure to Bluebeam is advantageous
n
- Able to work independently while collaborating with a broader commercial team
n
