About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Lab Technician to join the team at Customised Compounding in Dural, NSW. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst contributing to our commitment to delivering high-quality, customised pharmaceutical solutions to our patients and healthcare partners. As a Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in the compounding and preparation of bespoke medications, ensuring absolute precision, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

This position is based on-site at our Dural facility.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and compound medications according to prescriptions and formulations using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Measure, mix, and combine pharmaceutical ingredients with precision and accuracy
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all compounding activities, ingredients used, and batch information
- Operate and maintain compounding equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and functioning correctly
- Perform quality control checks on compounded medications to ensure they meet established standards and specifications
- Follow strict aseptic and non-aseptic compounding techniques in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support the pharmacy team with general laboratory duties and stock management
- Maintain a clean and organised laboratory environment
- Assist in the development and implementation of compounding procedures and protocols

What we're looking for





- Previous experience working in a compounding pharmacy or pharmaceutical laboratory environment
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions and standard operating procedures
- Proficiency with pharmaceutical equipment and laboratory instruments
- Sound understanding of pharmaceutical calculations and measurements
- Knowledge of pharmacy legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to compounding pharmacies in Australia
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety
