About the Organisation: Our client is a respected, purpose-led national organisation with more than 500 employees across Australia. Operating within a complex and highly regulated setting, the organisation is recognised for its strong people focus, long-term outlook and commitment to creating meaningful outcomes for its customers and employees.

The People and Culture function is a collaborative and experienced team that values practical expertise, sound judgement and high-quality delivery.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this critical contract role will provide specialist remuneration expertise during a period of leave coverage and significant annual remuneration activity. You will take ownership of core reward processes while ensuring continuity across remuneration operations, governance and reporting.

Supporting a workforce of approximately 500 employees, including around 200 employees outside enterprise agreement arrangements, you will lead the annual remuneration review, salary benchmarking, market pricing and position evaluation activities. You will work closely with payroll and workforce data, using advanced Excel capability to develop models, analyse trends and translate complex information into clear commercial insights.

The role will also support remuneration governance, compliance initiatives,

executive reporting and strategic reward projects. You will partner closely with senior leaders and People and Culture colleagues, providing trusted advice on remuneration decisions, market positioning and workforce implications.

In addition, you will provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to a Remuneration Officer and Payroll team, to ensure effective delivery of operational activities and consistent application of remuneration practices.

About You:

You are an experienced remuneration and reward professional with demonstrated success in a medium or large organisation. You bring strong technical capability across annual remuneration reviews, salary benchmarking, market pricing, position evaluation and remuneration modelling.

Advanced Excel skills are essential, together with confidence manipulating payroll and workforce information in a manual and spreadsheet-driven environment. You can identify meaningful trends, test assumptions and present complex remuneration data in a practical format that supports sound decision-making.

You have experience contributing to remuneration governance frameworks, compliance activities and executive reporting. Exposure to a highly regulated corporate environment is strongly preferred,

with knowledge of CPS 511

remuneration principles highly regarded.

Commercial, pragmatic and delivery-focused, you build credibility quickly and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. You are comfortable working independently, balancing operational priorities with strategic initiatives and maintaining accuracy during a demanding remuneration cycle. Previous experience leading or mentoring a junior remuneration resource will be well regarded.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a business-critical remuneration cycle while providing continuity, expertise and trusted advice within a respected national organisation. You will work directly with senior leadership, influence important reward decisions and deliver insights that support both immediate business requirements and longer-term remuneration priorities.

The role offers genuine breadth across operational delivery, analytics, governance, stakeholder engagement and people leadership. It will suit an experienced remuneration professional who enjoys working with complexity, values autonomy and can make an immediate and visible contribution.

How to Apply:

If you are confident that your experience reflects the above criteria, please apply online.

Should you have queries or would like to sense-check your alignment, please contact Matthew Saitta at [email protected] or call 02 8045 2923.
