About the Role:

As our Compliance Officer, you’ll own the frameworks that keep our marketplace protected, lawful and trusted. You’ll bring a legal lens to how we verify and onboard independent support workers, how we handle incidents and complaints, and how we protect the personal information of the people who use our platform. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving business; you’ll translate complex obligations into practical processes and help us build compliance into our systems and automation from the start.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain our compliance and obligations framework across relevant care, consumer, privacy and workplace legislation, and monitor regulatory change affecting the platform and our marketplace model.
- Own worker verification and screening standards for independent support workers.
- Manage incidents, complaints and escalations end to end, triage, investigation, notification where required, corrective action and trend and root cause analysis reporting. Lodge relevant notifications within statutory timeframes.
- Draft and maintain policies, platform terms, agreements and client and worker-facing documentation, and manage version control and review cycles.
- Oversee privacy and data governance obligations under the Privacy Act, including handling of health information, access controls and data breach response.
- Prepare the organisation for external audits, assessment contacts and regulatory reviews,



including evidence mapping against standards and legislation.
- Maintain the risk register, including control effectiveness assessments and treatment plans.
- Design and deliver compliance training and refresher and help build a culture where issues are raised early rather than concealed.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualifications in law (LLB or JD). Admission is well regarded; a current practising certificate isn’t required.
- 3+ years’ experience in a legal, regulatory, risk or compliance role.
- Experience in aged care, NDIS or another regulated care setting is highly desirable, including familiarity with the Aged Care Act, NDIS Practice Standards, incident reporting obligations or worker screening requirements.
- Proven ability to interpret legislation and turn it into clear, workable process for non-legal audiences.
- Experience managing investigations, complaints or sensitive matters with discretion and sound documentation.
- Strong drafting skills across policy, agreements and regulator or stakeholder correspondence.
- Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, values-driven environment.
